My name is Eryn Eledge and I am a third year student at California State University, Monterey Bay. I am a Business Administration student who is concentrating in Entrepreneurship and Intrapreneurship. In the process of attaining my Bachelor’s degree, I enrolled myself in a marketing course. Business 306, Fundamentals of Marketing, serves as an introductory course to the subject of marketing. This portfolio will examine the concepts I have learned in this class and how I can demonstrate my understanding of those concepts. With the help of personal projects, group projects, the textbook assigned to the course, and personal life experiences, I will explain my interpretation and understanding of the concepts.
The reason behind my desire to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration comes from my future goal of owning my own store-front bakery: Sweet Erwyn’s. Since I was around 12 years old, I have been running my own “baking business” in my hometown of Santa Clarita where I bake for friends, family, customers, and even a restaurant in my town. Rather than choosing to go to culinary school after graduating high school or even working directly in restaurants to gain more experience, I felt that getting a Bachelor’s degree in business would be more beneficial in teaching me how to become successful in the business aspect of my future career goal.
